When I was very young, I used to always watch Fantasia. I recently watched it again for the first time in years. What a film!
My favourite part has always been the scene with the centaurs and centaurettes ('Pastoral Symphony'):
What about you? I also remember always being scared of 'The Sorcerer's Apprentice'. Those brooms are terrifying. ;_;
I just grabbed the name for one of my pets from Fantasia :D Surprised it wasn't taken already.
I love "Night on Bald Mountain"
<3
Omg. I haven't watched it in years either. I still have it on VHS. Lol :)
In the first Fantasia... the dinosaur segment always scared me
I love Fantasia 2000 too. Especially Rhapsody in Blue
Rhapsody in Blue on Fantasia 2000 was so neat. It was the first time I'd ever heard that piece, and the animation was... gah, so gorgeous. I hate renting either one of those movies, because I always have to give it back. :( I think I will go order them online or something, I need to own them.
Hmm... I liked the demon on the mointain part in the first one. I thought it was really cool. Then the swan pegasi.
Is the Steadfast Tin Soldier in one of these or am I thinking of another movie?
That's so weird. I haven't thought about that movie in years and my sister asked me this morning if I have it on DVD. (The answer is no.... I have it on video).
I like the bit with the fairies dancing on the ice. And the bit with the little flying horses. Infact, I like the whole movie.
Edit: The broomsticks are scary.
Oh geeze this was "naptime" video all throughout my childhood! My mom would put it in, then bum on the couch with me.... And I always made a point of falling asleep before it got to the dinosaur part. xD That was the part I was always scared of. :B
My mom has brainwashed me into falling asleep during it. xD And when it's played in class or something, no doubt about it I am dozing off!
I hate it now that it makes me tired. xD
