How often do the items there change? Do they even change at all?

I've been hoarding crystals in case there's something I want, but if it's always the same items, I'll give up and just sell all of them :o

They add items sometimes, like some retired books, the bottom row or 2 are new items they added a while ago, and the universal remote was also stocked there, so they do change them, but very infrequently

Oh yes, I used to hoard them all the time and I stopped doing it, then they released the crystals, and it was a mad dash to try and frag enough to get a universal remote, I would have liked to get at least 3 of them, but didnt have the crystals or sp at the time

Very much so worth it, not only do you get achievements (for hoarding them) but they did have an ach for buying a certain item. And of course its good to be prepared when something good comes out. :)

Ah ok :) I've saved up around 700 plus now, but I was getting a bit tired of it, especially since the items I saw there were things I never really had a use for. But if something good comes out once in a while it'll be worth it.

The seem to go for a long time with no new additions then one day they will put out 7 new items and everyone will scramble to try and frag enough items to grab what they want before they are all sold out. I would save them until something new comes out. Then either use them if there is an item you want or sell them then when the price is higher.

Definitely save them. Keith (or maybe Amber) stocks the crystal shop by hand, and he'll generally get round to it after several of the items that were in there have all been bought out.

Well, right now, the universal remotes are gone, the frankenpie parts are all gone, the 4th Anniversary Tined Sword is all gone and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see something new quite soon.
