If you lock the Lizard minion repellent and trap do they still work?

Not like it costs /too/ much to buy them again if they get zapped or something. I just don't want to go through the hassle.

So if you lock them in your inventory do they still do their job?

They definitely still work, I had a few Lizard Events since I locked Trap and Spray and I got all the items. C:
