I'm on level 11, fer goshsakes, he asks for a common item, and it's over 449,000?!!! That's just ridiculous...grrrr.

The infamous Saggi quest revamp might be the reason, unless it was a new item that's just not restocked that often yet...? That does sound very weird, though.

No, older book item, used to be in the Graveyard shop. Maybe it's just that it hasn't been added to the Book Nook restocks yet? It should be, or retired or something!
