I think you mean pinging, which is simply putting an @ in front of a name. For example, ;)

For some strange reason, I'm not sure that ping worked o_O Regardless, something I forgot to mention: If you put in the ping as an edit, like then the user won't get the event.

Also some names aren't pingable (unless they have been fixed and I mised the notice) such as certain names containing numbers, hyphons or periods.

if you're not referring to pinging, and mean something like this: , then you use need to type [ user=username ] (without the spaces)
