How smart does your pet have to be to get the "Hard to Get" jobs?

Last I checked, to get accepted to the SAI, for example, you need either 400 or 500 intelligence.

As for the other 'Hard' jobs... just keep reading your pets books, and hope for the best?

Well, Voltayre got accepted into the library around 30-45 int. I don't remember the exact amount, but I think it was around there.
