My pets are permanently bloated. I am not complaining about that, but I need to feed a special item to one of them and they won't eat it. How can I make my pets hungry? -.-

Pet hunger and happiness has been glitchy for a while, but the staff are fiddling with it - mine were happy and bloated for a long time then I turned up one morning to find them all suddenly starving and miserable. I think someone's now resetting them all manually every few days or something - so if you just wait they'll probably be hungry again soon.
