It's just one step closer to getting into the blue building (centropolis), and I think you get an achievement too :)

That's not right, , you also get 4 random rare items.

It gives you a little bit of money and some rare items. I don't believe it usually pays off money wise, but it is the only way to knock off that part of the blue building :)

Yes, you usually get a bit of sP. I got about 5K when I completed mine.
