alright so I'm trying to get the achievement for having one of each kind of fairy in my inventory, and I have all but one. How do Ig about getting the regular snow fairy (the one that doesn't have a color name before it)

It was available through the random events in previous years. Now I think the only option is to buy it from someone else :)

It was actually an Advent Calendar prize, and you can probably find one available for lending in trades.

If you still need one, I can lend you mine.
