It would be pretty cool if there was an option to make new News posts show up as events.

Just sayin'; I don't like to clean out my events that often and I like knowing when there's new News.

Or, in general, a way of picking what events you receive. That sort of thing.

I would love to get an event every time the news is updated.

Yes, yes, yes please. I keep events on all the time, so I miss the news alert. This would make so much sense.
