how do you do it? and um what exactly is it? im sooo confused!

a 'ping' is when you type the @ symbol followed by a person's username which will send them an alert to let them know they were mentioned on or 'pinged to' a thread. I'm not sure if it works with your name, because I know there were troubles with special characters.

Edit: You can't be pinged because of the underscore in your name. You can ping me to this thread (send me an alert) by typing @ Blythe (minus the space).

There are some issues with special characters, and I'm not totally sure what to do about yours. I know that because my name has a - in it, you replace it with a _ to make it work. Perhaps replacing the _ in your name with a - would work?
