Why when my pet reaches 100 does it take the ability to train that skill farther, away?

I believe Spil is asking why the option to train a skill is no longer there once the skill reaches 100.

Correct. When a skill reaches 100 on my pet, I lose the ability to train it in the training center. I was curious if this was normal and why it cuts off there when it says something about being able to train a pet to level 5000.
