Other than leaving a mark on your face, does this effect do anything else (for instance better at battles, ect)?

Also how long will the mark on your HA's face stay?

i think its just an HA decoration -- nothing else added. i'm not sure of the length it stays on the face, however. i'm guessing an hour?
