How do i know what items can be used together for this?

I suggest subetalodge instead as it doesn't crash so much. That's the list of everything that can be made. If you click on one, its item notes shows what combination of items makes it.

Ah yeah that first ones not working atm. but the second seems to work just fine thank you both for your help and suggestions.
