The 'Happy New Years!' achievement was released last year and as far as I know visiting the news page was enough to get it. Maybe they haven't activated it this year?

I got it, have you actually gone to the news page rather than the home page?

They may not have activated it for New Year yet...

It's been released this year, I've seen it on newbie's pages.

You mean by going Home > News? I've done that.

all i did was go to the news page and it gave me the achievement.

Maybe try clicking on the "more" link on the home page? If not, maybe you should file a ticket? IDK. shrugs

If you were hear for last year's new year, go to your achievements and check under 'seasonal' to see if you have it or not. (: It's the one at the bottom.
