Does this go in Help on in Subeta Pets? o.O?

I'm planning to adopt a pet to be a Steamwork Paralix. This will be my first steamwork pet. :) I have the key, and I have the Steamwork Paralix Schematic. If my pet is, say, a kumos, do I need to elixir him/her first or is the key and schematic enough?

The Key and Schematic are enough.
