I recently started checking my pets pages and they have their adoption date plus "(Legacy)" next to the date. What does it mean?

If you were to adopt a pet today, but it was created a week ago, the dates would reflect that.

(Legacy is creation date, adoption is when you came to be in possession.)

They recently added adoption/creation dates and if the pet you have was adopted/created before a certain time this shows up Born: August 15th, 2007

Adopted: 2 years, 6 months, 1 day ago (Legacy)

Adopted: August 15th, 2007 (Legacy) that's for my pet, Boundaries.

I personally thought that "Legacy" referred to a pet that you created and kept. The pets I created all have Legacy, but those I adopted do not, even if they are the same age or so.

My adopted pets even have "Legacy" on their profile (Julieni and Twilight) because they were all created and adopted before the adoption date was added to profiles. It indicates that you had the pet before the date was added, since they did not keep track of adoption dates previously.

I adopted Gland and it has legacy on her profile.

Ah, I see. It's probably as said then. Which would make sense in my case, as I didn't really adopt pets until recently.
