I have been on for 7 1/2 or so months and have only seen the giveaway in december. Just curious about how often do giveaways happen?

A couple times a year, maybe three if we're lucky. They aren't very common.

Whenever the staff feels it's appropriate. You'll get one every December for sure, but don't count on it any other time.
