Pings don't work after editing post?

I've edited posts to add new pings to people, but it doesn't seem to work. Is this a bug or does it just not work that way?
(I would add new posts with new pings, but I was the last poster in the board. No double-posting. :/)

I far as I know it should work. If there are existing pings on the post you might try removing any ping, saving it with no pings, then edit it again with the new pings.

It worked! Thanks for the tip. I don't know why adding new pings didn't work, but removing them all and adding them back did! Interesting.....
