why don't they work in advertising? i've created a forum group with around 130 members and it's pointless to have if it won't work in advertising. is there any way i can get around this? thank you!

I don't think so. :c It was disabled to prevent ping abuse...cause people were just pinging random friend groups and shit and it was annoying everybody. ^_^;

I have absolutely no idea...creating a ticket might be better for asking that. As for the second question, I think it's just on forums...

Don't do that. Making one thread to advertise another thread is spamming.

We have it disabled in Advertising for a reason, so please don't run around looking for ways to circumvent the rules.

No, as I mentioned, doing so is not allowed. Hashtags are disallowed in Advertising for a reason. Circumventing our measures is counterproductive to what we're trying to do here.
