I have a friend that is so impressed with her flower collection. I thought the point of them was to gift them. Do you gain anything from collecting them?

Just achievements for clicking them when you find them.

You mean like hoarding them in a gallery? Nope, unless you're going for hoarder achievements, in which case they would help. Some people just like to collect things.

How does one turn them in?

Go to the shop, which you can access from the news page and click Turn In Coins From Your Inventory

Go to Esther's Shop and below her picture there is a link to turn them in and a counter showing how many coins you have to spend.

Can you turn them in more than once? Wow I just noticed your picture changes every time I refresh that is pretty snazzy. :)

You can turn coins in whenever you have them.
