Yes, they are single-use. Once you use them, they turn into filled baskets. :)

I don't really think it's worth it; the baskets will fill your pet to Bloated if you feed them one, but it's cheaper to just use the Resort. XD Unless you wanted to do reselling, or use a basket for a treasure chest or something.
