my cat does that a lot, the catch is though, you pick him up and he gets mad at me for intruding in his sleep time.

I don't have a cat, but I do agree with FireStorm and Star_Gazer. Your cat looks so content and peaceful! I'm sure he'll appreciate your hug when he wakes. :)
