They are really cheap in the user shops... Will they stay that way once the caves are open too?

Yeah, they pretty much always stay really cheap. Since everyone can dig for them themselves, there's no huge demand for them.

It's possible that they go up in price a bit but usually don't much. C:

That's handy - I was going to ask the same thing. I've bought one of each gem just in case but I was wondering if they sometimes ask for more than one of the same gem.
