I was of the impression that it was currently available in the vending machine.
Just take into account that I've been vending at Ocean Depths for nearly 3 years now, and no Riptide has ever come out for me. Just because it might take you eons to get one doesn't mean it's retired! :P

The Riptide isn't retired. It was for a while, but it's since been put back into the vending machine :)

...no, it's not retired, it's "special". I know people who do get them from O.D. They took it out of that vending machine for a while, but it is back there now. Good luck!
