I have seen a few pets here and there that have a black circle instead of a female or male sign. Can someone explain how to get it like that + when it was possible to make your pet have no gender? Thanks. xD

Are you thinking of the Gear gender, instead of Genderless? Your pet can only be Gear if it was created by Isaac (not transformed.)

The item is reasonably recent, but the ability to create Genderless pets from Atebus has always been an option (when those pets are available.)
