Is it possible to know? As for example I want to know how many are outthere. Is there anyway, anywhere... to know that.

No, unfortunately there's not. For some items you might get lucky and someone will know how many of an item originally went out (like for an item that was put in BHH, or something someone might know off hand) but there's nowhere to look it up.
