I have my eye on a pet name, and it looks like the owner hasn't been on in quite some time. Do pets/accounts ever get removed for inactivity? I know I've read about names being cleared or something of the sort, but haven't seen anything on pet names.

as far as i know, yes. when a username is cleared, the account that goes with it is deleted, too, so then the pet names are up for grabs as well. :) hope that helps.

If they haven't been active for about a year then the account will probably be erased. If the account is erased then the pet name are erased too.

there's random times throughout the year when they have name-clearings, and it's usually announced a few weeks beforehand. but yeah, it is rather rare and the names you think should be cleared usually don't clear. :c

You can file a ticket to make sure if an account is about to get deleted by asking about that account`s activity.
