A new reading drive is planned for soon so users probably won't break their banks as opposed to waiting another month or two. I think it would be better if you saved them until then when new items come out and demand spikes. Following the drive they can range from 50k-100k per point, from what I recall.

I think I paid 10k per point a few months ago.

If you save them though, you won't be able to turn those books in again for points this year, which will really suck if you've got some cheapies. I'd say around 10-15k apiece.
