How does the suggestion sidebar widget work? What sort of suggestions would it give?

Mine just says: "We don't have any suggestions for you! :("

It gives you suggestions such as forum subscriptions, friends, et cetra.

Neat. I'm guessing it will eventually show something based off of my actions on the site?

That's my understanding. It also works off of your friends' actions. For example, if a bunch of your friends post on a particular board, then I think the widget suggests that board to you too, since it's likely something you'd also be interested in.

Not sure how everything works specifically, though, because I don't pay much attention to it. :P

It works a lot like Suggestions page

right now mine shows about 5 friends of friends.
