Can you actually use them for something, or are they just there as quest items, etc.?

Just items, I think. Treasure Chest stuffers, mainly, and you might be able to use the Genetech to put them together, but aside from that I'm not aware of any other use for them?

They are mostly used to fill our pet's treasure chests. So ye, unless you need them for your pets they are quest items.

They have no function but lots of user use them for TCs and gallery items.

Thanks for the info. I really wish we could use them or something, though.
