I'm interested in trying my hand at making some CW stuff (because nobody seems to make the wigs I need /sob) but after looking around on the forums I'm... extremely confused about the whole claiming thing and how payment happens and how items are distributed - Could someone clear up what usually happens? @
(Also, how many items are in a batch? I feel like it was on the info page for CWs but I can't find it)
One batch costs 5000csc and includes 10 items (so basically each item costs you 500csc). If you submit the cw, you are led to a page which allows you to assign slots for the individual items to other users. You'll also have to type down the price for each slot, those costs will be paid by the people who are assigned to the slot. And thats were "claiming" comes in too. If you don't have the funds to submit it entirely yourself, you gotta ask people if they want to buy one of the items. If they are interested, people "claim" slots, you assign them to a slot, they'll get a message and a link to pay for their slots and have to cover the costs for their slots themselves. Usually artists keep one slot for themselves and offer the 9 left over slots for "grabs". As soon as the item was accepted, the people you assigned slots to are automatically given the item they are waiting for.
Ooh, ok, thanks so much! That's what I was wondering about. I had the feeling that most artists weren't paying $50 for every wig and just getting CSC back, heh.
That helps me a lot, thanks a ton :3
Hehe, well.. no. x) However, you gotta keep in mind that every time the item gets denied.. everyone is getting the csc back and you have to assign those people to their slots again and they'll have to pay again too. Thats why quit some "older" or more experienced artists with some funds pay the entire 5k themselves. If an item gets denied too often, people tend to lose interest and you end up with empty slots and annoyed customers. xD So, if you attempt to let your customers take part in the payment, you should make sure that your item really kicks in and is meeting all standards and criteria they are asking for. xD
