People click it if they like your HA. You can see if anyone has liked yours under site preferences.

And to include to what said--we get only 25 likes per-day, so only click the heart if you really mean it ;)

Also the number does have a meaning - it's the user's ID, so depending on who you hover over, that's their ID number on the site. :)
