The third paragraph seems kind of clunky, and could probably be made clearer with a little work. As for it proceeding in a logical amnner, I would have to say it does. Selhi is most certainly belivable, specifically because of his absolute lack of motivation and his reluctance to be in this particular situation. A final note, commoners with titles are nobility, whereas commoners with rank are rare (par. 4.)
