How do I update when I was last seen so I can appear hidden to my friends when they are online?

Stealth mode is what you click

However, I think that's just for your profile. I am pretty sure that if you are friends with them, you will still show up as online in their sidebar.

But when I have friends who are online, I cant see them on my sidebar. <.<

then must be they have stealth chosen on their account.

OH, I thought it used to be that you could still see them. I just thought they had to be in your "favorites" lol, Glad I know now!
