I just got my Hydrus Paralix, Synchronicity Drive, and I'm trying to find a good, relatively cheap minion for her. I'm thinking of something dragon-y, which wouldn't be out of place in water. I was wiped out by the Omen Islands quest so I don't even have a mil to spend on this. :/
