For the past four years, trainers have been learning everything they could about Pokémon and how to raise them.

Some will become Breeders, Trainers, Contest Participators, and so much more. Now that you have walked down the aisle and received your Pokedex from Professor Elder, it is time to choose a Pokémon that you will raise as your companion.

All Pokémon are eggs right now. They can hatch during your post and become apart of the plot, but don't have them all evolved just yet.

The Pokémon you hatch will be your comrade, your friend, your everything so treat them as you will.

The list of eggs are as followed;

These are the starters that you can choose from. Choose your companion wisely as you can not change your mind once you get it. Post which Pokémon you want from the list and the name of your favorite Pokémon. I will start posting when someone nibbles on my line.

Of course you can. Now that I have two people, I will start posting. )

It was the last day of school. After years of training and studying, it was time to put the knowledge they had accumulated to the test. The whole class stood in a line, looking at the different eggs that were on display in the lab for anyone to choose from. There were a lot of eggs, and so many choices. You could get a Fire type or water type. There were people taking grass Pokémon eggs and other types that were there to choose from. Everyone needed to have an egg to get their diploma, it was a sign of their advancement in life.

Standing before the wide selection was a young man with flaming red hair. He was looking at all the different selections and had his eye set on one egg in particular. He stepped towards it, looking at its little sign that only had a picture of a leaf on it. He wondered what was inside this egg and he felt an almost pull towards it, like the Pokémon inside was calling for him. Reaching out, he touched the hard shell. It was very warm and he could feel slight movement inside. This was the one. He would get this one.

Carefully, he eased the egg out of the incubator and held it to his chest, he could feel the Pokémon inside moving again, its limbs thudding against the hard shell but not hard enough to crack it. This was the start of an amazing journey.

Could I join? If so I would adore a Charmander egg. Charizard is my favorite, rawr! Also I know they are extremely, extremely rare, but since no one has asked is it possible for my pokemon to hatch as a shiny?

Tansen Jecklebee, Contest Participant. The title had a ring to it, Tansen silently mused, her heart pounding in both anticipation and apprehension. Today was the day that would mark the beginning of the rest of her life. Soon, she would walk out those doors and take her first step into the world that was now her oyster. Tansen looked up from staring at her shoes and noted the line in front of her. Only three more people to go. Glancing a little further ahead, she spotted the eggs. One of them was hers. But, what was inside? What species would become her lifelong companion and friend? What kind of person would that pokemon become? What kind of person would she become? Would she be capable of taking care of such a large responsibility. Could she live up to the pokemon's expectations? Her parent's expectations? Her own expectations? So lost in her own thoughts, she jumped when the student behind her, a boy who had been in her Theoretical Breeding class, nudged her with his elbow. "You're up." He murmured in her ear. Tansen noted her position at the front of the line and gave the boy a grateful smile. She hadn't even noticed. Delicately, she took a step forward and evaluated the precious objects before her. They were a rainbow of shapes, colors, and sizes. Although they were not sorted in any particular way, the type, if not the species, that would hatch from the egg was usually fairly easy to guess. The green or brown eggs, often decorated with floral patterns, would become grass pokemon. The red and orange were likely to become fire types. Blue and aqua often denoted water. But none of these colors caught her attention. Instead, her eye landed on a small, seafoam green orb in the very back. Despite it's miniature stature, Tansen sensed a bold, confident quality radiating from it's pale shell. That was the one. That was her partner. Her pale hands reached forward, her long fingers caressing the smooth surface. She could feel a faint pulse from within the object and she smiled. She lifted the egg to her breast, and cradled it as if it were her child. Already, a feeling of love welled up from within her. Silently, she stepped out of the way, allowing the next student to select his partner, as well.

I'd love to join~ ;D Hard decision between the Totodile and Vulpix, but I guess I'll go with my namesake hehe- so Totodile it is. My favourite Pokemon is Scizor.

Ven stared at those in front; he had barely made passed his courses for his major. Everyone in his family had said he was destined to become a breeder, but hell no. It wasn't who he was and although they had told him he had some kind of talent, the adolescent had felt worthless in the area - instead what motivated him to come so far was the amount of pride and courage that radiated off those who were as great as the Elite four - the Trainers themselves. Trainers. Just the word sent shivers down his spine. He had never felt so proud to be standing up on this stage today and choosing a Pokemon that was to be their partner in their journey.

This was it. Right now. This is where he would choose his partner.

Ven eyed the series of colourful eggs in front. There were a bunch and all of them looked brilliant - gorgeous even - but none caught his eye. He was scared and if anything, the unborn infants knew it. He had read the books - he was a bookworm no doubt about it, but a crappy one at that - the symbols indicated the type of Pokemon each were appealing, but intimidating to say the least. The teen brushed away his bangs, adjusting his glasses before taking a minute to just step back and consider his choices. He knew that in this bunch there were the usual starters that every student per region was able to choose and a few that were randomized picks of the bunch for those who didn't want to conform.

The black haired teen knew he was nothing special, at least not yet. He didn't want to underestimate himself but he definitely didn't want to overestimate himself. If he shot out far, he would fail and what would that say for his parents? Ven sighed, finally making a decision as he walked up to the case that held a water symbol above. He picked it up slowly, cradling his unhatched partner in his arms. The egg began to squirm inside, the elastically feel stretched, accommodating the little bugger's stretching. The shell seemed to swirl in its illuminating rough blue exterior as each small kick came from inside. This baby was definitely energetic, hopefully the Pokemon would be the exact opposite than Ven, because right now it sure looked like it.

"Hey buddy.." he cooed softly, walking off the edge of the stairs and back down to his corner. He had no friends, but who needed friends now? They were about to go on an adventure. Friends would come later. For now, he had passed.

Is there still time for me to join? Could I have a Cyndaquil? My favourite pokemon is... argh it's such a difficult decision! I'll go with Houndoom. I love fire-types :)

Amethya brushed a strand of deep purple hair from her face. She blushed as the students around her jostled in the excitement of getting a new pokemon. She was a shy girl who always had her head in a book, much to her parents' consternation, but deep in her heart a fire burned bright. Was it her fault that the world demanded for extroversion over introversion? Introverts could burn just as bright, but in a different way. She had given a lot of thought to her decision. She wanted a pokemon like her, shy but able to defend itself and one pokemon stood out - Cyndaquil. As she reached the head of the line, her eyes were drawn to an egg. This was the one!

Also, for everyone, the world is mixed up of wild Pokemon you will find in all the games. So as long as not everyone has an overpowered which ever, you may choose which Pokemon you choose to catch from all five generations.

Tobias rubbed the egg, smiling a little as he walked off the stage and sat down, cradling his new partner gently. He didn't ever think that he would get this far, with his parents hating Pokemon, but he was determined to prove them wrong. He was going to become a Pokemon trainer and have a lot of friends that would acompany him in his journey. Gently, he ran his finge tips over the shell, unable to wait until it hatched.

Hearing the others tak eggs, he looked at Ven then Amethia and then everyone else before he sighed. He better start making human friends, too. He walke dover to the three of them, shyly shifting on his feet as he held the egg tighter, "Hello." he said, shoving red hair from his face.

Felix squirmed nervously from her position in the long line. It seemed to her that it was taking ages for it to move the littlest bit, but she did her best to be patient. Afterall, everyone else had worked just as hard as she had to get to where they were today; picking their companions. As the next person chose their egg the line again moved forward, causing Felix to impatiently adjust her purple beanie over her black hair. It hung down to her shoulders and when she adjusted her hat it pushed some of her black bangs down over her deep violet eyes. Felix hastily brushed them aside and during her fiddling the line had moved forward again. Felix blushed a bit and took several steps forward to catch up, seeing that she would be next.

Finally, the moment came and it was her turn to step up and pick her life-long companion. With her heart pounding Felix adjusted her lacey black skirt as one final delay before taking a slow step towards the incubators. Her mouth fell open a bit as she looked at all the different eggs; red, blue. green, yellow, there were even ones that had a multitude of colors. All of them were marked only as to what type they were by a small sign hanging below them. Felix nervously chewed her lower lip as she looked at the options. A grass type was nice but not for her. Nor a water, or electric. But fire...Felix's eyes rested on one of the fire-type eggs. It was a beautiful deep red at the bottom and it slowly changed to orange and yellow towards the top. As Felix stared at it she swore for a moment it flickered with light and as she leaned closer it wiggled the tiniest bit. A bright grin spread across Felix's face as she reached for the egg.

Felix gingerly took the egg and held it against her chest, leaning her head down to rest her cheek and ear against it. It was very warm, and little wiggles caused the shell to almost vibrate in her arms. Felix could hear a little heartbeat coming from deep within and her own fluttered happily. Felix hugged her new-found friend even tighter as she stepped forward and off to the side. She was cradling the egg in her arms and smiling so wide it hurt her face. Without realizing it Felix had walked into a small group of people who had already chosen their eggs, and one of the boys had spoken a shy hello. Felix lifted her face from the egg and blushed furiously, carefully shifting the warm egg in her arms. "S-sorry for barging in, it was an accident." Felix blubbered before blushing harder from how her words had come out. She quickly lowered her violet eyes towards the ground as she took a tentative step backwards.

Amethya was startled slightly to find that she was suddenly surrounded by a small group of people. She had sat down with her egg to read it a book but was shaken out of her reverie by a red-haired boy saying "Hello". Soon after, a girl with black hair had joined them. Amethya cuddled her egg closer, feeling the need for the closeness of its warmth to give her confidence, "Hi," she said softly with a smile on her face, "You don't need to apologise." She put her book back in her backpack and stood up, awkwardly holding out her hand, "My name is Amethya, what's yours?"

Felix lifted her gaze to look at Amethya as she offered a hand. She was a bit awkward in her greeting, but so was Felix. Giving Amethya a smile Felix shifted her precious egg into the crook of her left arm so that she could reach out and gently squeeze Amethya's hand, giving it a little bit of a shake before letting go. "Thank you, my name's Felix. It's nice to meet you." After shifting for a moment Felix looked at the egg nestled in Amethya's arms and she smiled widely. "What a pretty egg, can you feel the pokemon moving inside yet?" Felix was rather enthusiastic in her question, as she loved pokemon more than anything else. She looked around at the others and examined the different types of eggs that had been chosen.

Tobias smiled at the two before he shifted his own green egg. He listened to them talk before he swallowed, "Does anyone have any idea when these eggs will hatch?" he asked, lovingly petting his.

Amethya smiled and nodded her answer to Felix's question but when Tobias asked his question, she bent down hastily and rummaged around in her backpack. When she had finished rummaging around, she pulled out a book entitled, "So you have your egg, now what?" and quickly flipped to a page, "It says here that that if you can hear your pokemon moving around inside its egg, it will hatch in about a week but if you can hear your pokemon making sounds inside its egg, it should hatch in a day or two."

Tobias looked down at his egg before he lifted it an placed the shell against his ear. To is delight, he heard sounds from inside the egg. He could hear scratching noises, soft thumps of movement and an occasional gurgle cry. It was amazing and he couldn't wait to get the egg to hatch and meet his new friend and partner.

Amethya flipped to another page and read out, "It says here that we shouldn't start exploring until our eggs hatch... Shall we meet back here in a few days time and then set off together?" she asked shyly. "That's if you want to..." she brushed a strand of hair back behind her ears and blushed.

Felix smiled broadly before looking to Tobias as he stroked his green egg. Her smile began to disapate as she looked down at her egg. Felix tiled her head as she shifted to hold the egg in both arms. She stared at it intently as it wiggled around, and Felix swore she heard scratching. Felix was so engrossed in examining her egg that she almost didn't hear Amethya tell them about when their eggs could hatch. Felix quickly put her ear to her egg, as Tobias done, and listened. It didn't take very long for her to hear what sounded like the occasional soft, muffled cry, as well as strong movement inside. Felix had to pull her head away as her egg wiggled again and she smiled excitedly. "Mine will hatch soon!" Felix squeaked excitedly. She looked to Amethya and began to jump up and down excitedly, clutching her precious egg tightly in her arms. "Yes! Yes! We can all go together." She exclaimed excitedly. Felix was so excited she just couldn't contain herself; Felix twirled around with her egg clutched to her chest tightly.
