I've only had this problem a couple times, but it just happened again, and I figure it's something I should know:

If someone has punctuation in their username (aka Mr.Smith), it tags as Mr.withouttherest. I've seen people get around this though; is there some special scode/character code I can use?

Replace it with an underscore, for example it would be @ mr_withouttherest

The easiest way is if they have the post up you can just click this image =D

I think using underscores instead of periods?

You can get around this by either clicking on the small ping-icon in a users post ( ) or by using an underscore instead of the punctuation.
