Ok now I know what I'm going to hear from people on this but hear me out.
Recently I was trying to recall a date or some time frame of when I changed the name of my pet and after searching through all of the post on FB I could not find any posting of it (mostly only achievements and some other things here and there) so I was thinking that since on the pet profiles the Birth and Adoption dates are posted what about other events like species chance, color change, and name change? I know that many of us can just write it down in the descriptions, however, what about pets we adopt from Adopt-R-Us? I doubt any of those pets will have a history in their descriptions.
Now I know it's a challenge but even if it's a separate page I think it would be big help for some of us who want to remember certain dates or even see the history of the pets we adopt from other users.
you know, i can't say i'm opposed to this idea. like, it's not exactly something i couldn't live without, but it seems like a cute idea if i wanted to go back and reminisce on when my pets crossed various milestones. when i potioned someone, or changed his name, or just whatever.
i mean, i imagine it probably wouldn't be retroactive (since i doubt there's a system currently in place for keeping track of any of that), but we DO have the "legacy" adoption dates for pets who existed before those were put into place. not the end of the world in that regard.
i guess if it wasn't too much work to code something like this into place, i'd be in support. why not?
What about zapped pets? Wouldnt the information be too much.
Y'know, I think this is something best left up to the user, actually. What's significant to you and significant to me are very different things. I couldn't care less when I last changed my battle pet, but I'd love to know battle related stats: when I first beat x challenger, when I hit y in stats, etc.. Other people might care when they gained/filled z number of tc slots.
I think it's a cute idea, but it'd end up being just a mess of text. Would it update every time you zapped, gained a stat, beat an opponent for the 500th time, gained tc spaces? You'd have to enable options to select what's important to you and really I think at that point, you might as well have just made a list yourself.
It would have been a good idea, had it been implemented from the get-go? I don't think the information will be retroactive.
Yeah there isn't really a good way to organize this data. We have the same problem with the friend feed which would be cool / useful if it wasn't just so much data.

What i it was more of an option around the site? Like the "add an event" link, or how bookmarks work? "Add to so-and-so's history"? Or FB's timeline where you can add things after the fact as well.
Would require more from users, but it would also be more customizable. Using the description to list achievements isn't always optimal.
When you make something opt-in, it means way, WAY less people use it. Honestly wouldn't be worth building out the feature at that point.

I understand it would take a boat load of test and garble-gook but how about this... since the Facebook feed already post when we change the colors of our pets (as well as adoption/abandonment/creation) could it be considered for starting to post when we change the names and species of our pets?
I understand the reasoning behind it, but... ehhh I'd rather not have all the milestones listed, I guess - you can easily screen cap a imagine if you want the time and date, and then save it onto your computer. It's just, I wouldn't want to see how many times I changed my pets name, how many times I colored them, how many species they've been, how many times their gender changed, or whatever - it would make it kind of a hassle for say, my zapper pet (who has had so many color/species/gender changes) and I wouldn't really want that on her forever!
I think getting the date your pet was born on is really nice, though. Before that feature was added, a lot of people wanted to know what date the pets they adopted from the pound were born on, but there was really no way to tell (unless they adopted that pet with a description saying as much)
