that special red banner for items in the cash shop is overlaying the events bar so i can't click on the events.

If you look under Site Feedback, there's a thread called 'Cash Shop Hustler Alert'. People posted a ton of codes to put in your CustomCSS (under site prefs) that can move it, change size and color, and make it go away altogether.
