Just post around the forums really. There's not really a "guide" or anything on how to make friends.

Simple really, chat with people, be friendly, find common interests. Start off in the Introductions boards, greeting new members. Visit the Chit Chat forums to see what others have to say.

Nah, Just post around the forums. After a while, you'll notice that the same people tend to hang out in certain forums.

just ask people you chat will for a while, help people, compliment when you feel it is due to start a conversation, ask questions and such.

Creep their profiles until I get the courage to comment them about something we're both interested in, then gradually build that conversation into a friendship.
