The PETSP would like to take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of keeping your pets properly restrained when not in an enclosed area. Letting your pet run out into traffic is not the way to help it lose weight.

PS: Sorry, forgot to mention: If it does bother you that much, you may like to check out Firefox and it's addon "Adblock Plus" which lets you block any image that you like. (And if you can't use Firefox that's fine, just a thought.)

And I like to think that the Angelic's -are- the Graveyard pets. XD Their souls like...you know. Body died, soul left, necromancers got to messing around while getting drunk...next thing you know you've got a bunch of reanimated corpses running around.

Darn necromancers.

I say well done to the artist. Animals die all the time, the pet color is 'Graveyard' and isn't worth the fuss. 10 points for creativity.

Ew...grossy. :| Not something I'd want as a pet. :

(Not that it's bad art or anything. Far from it. But I do think I'll end up trying not to look at it. XD I am one of those people who can stare at a drawing and feel sick even while knowing that it's not real. XD Consider it a job well done.)

And this is just an image, not real life. If this pet didn't exist, animals would still get killed on the roads and people would still see them. Personally I feel sad when I see real-life animals as roadkill, this pet is pixels, and the concept is unique and interesting and the artwork is good. Good job Rah ^^

Eh...our children...and most of us nowadays are desensitized to everything. We have cartoons of thing being hurt and killed/maimed and the like. We see death all the time and read about it often. Will you take tv away from all the children, take away every newspaper? Do you cry every time you hear someone dies?

It seems some of you like making too much out of something. We do not need this drama here, if you like that....then go back to neopets. :3

Remember, this isn't just a site for kids. Adults come here to immerse in rp and escape the hectic real world too. We don't want the neopets styled, vomitingly-cute pets here.

Bottom line, Rah did a most awesome job! -commends Rah- I was going to save for a bloodred terracoon...but I changed my mind now.

am i the only one whose family used to pass the time on long car trips by counting roadkill? ._. i don't like like dead animals, not by a long shot, but again, this is October, and a time for Graveyard pets. Rah did an excellent job on this one, in my opinion. as for the people who have lost actual pets in this manner, i am sorry for you, but people have to understand the risks they take when letting their pet outside for ANY amount of time. if your pet got out by mistake... that's another story, and i'm sorry it happened. but holy cow, this in NOT a real animal, it's a drawing. not even a drawing of a real animal. kids in my elementary school drew far more twisted things than this, so...

Wicked cool, Rah! And I loved those...meany beanies? I has most of them somewhere. I loved Splat, the roadkilled cat and Sammy gotta go pee-gull.

Relax, at least Rah doesn't have guts hanging out all over and such? I can think of a fun character idea for this. Now I needs a terricoon elixir and a graveyard potion!

Some of you complaining are just being silly. Wo8uld you like Keith to be evil and changes all the pets to have a fist held up and big, huge...ugly eyes? To change the pets that look neat into cutesy-fied, doe-eyed things? I love it here, way better than neopets...and you can have more pets.

I personally love this pet and it will probably be what my pet Awe becomes when I decide to stop zapping.

For those whining about the delicate sensibilities of children, the movie Igor which is rated PG (read as below this site's rating) has a rabbit Scamper in it that is reanimated roadkill (with visible tread marks) that is now immortal that repeated tries to kill itself including showing disembodied body parts that it chewed off. If that can be put in a pg movie then having such a large issue with an image like this means you may be overly sensitive and might need to rethink if you can indeed be comfortable in a PG13 environment no matter how old or young you may be.

Just because they're pretty you don't feel bad for them as well?

QFT. That is so true...just because angelics don't show HOW a pet died, it is ok? I just want to cuddle the terracoon even more now that I know what happened

If you don't like it then get over it. It's obviously not supposed to be serious. There are MUCH more disturbing things on the internet. If you find cartoon roadkill disturbing then just don't look at it.. I mean it's not like you're forced to own one. Personally I think it's funny, cause it's not real. I don't think real roadkill is funny. =P

Last year and the year before we could find a Dead Person in the Pumpkin Patch and either give it to a pet as a minion or as food. The Blocky Wind-Up Zombie Toy is a wardrobe item which gives a HA undead humans for companions. We even have wardrobe items which can make a HA look like a rotting corpse.

I understand why the Graveyard Terracoon can upset some people who lost a pet in a road accident but it's not like humans aren't included in the range of dead things on the site.

I'm now hoping I got the quote bit right because we can't edit posts here.

Just throwing in my two cents, because...why not. grin As an animal/pet lover this, of course, creeps me out badly, BUT on the same measure, that's what graveyard pets are supposed to do, yes? I thought the point of every pet on Subeta was that it was still, if not alive, at least up and around and having some sort of personality and...'undead(?) life'. So this terracoon is still "animated" in a way, yes? Zombie-esque? Anyhow, while I would be APPALLED if this were a real picture and would spew my rage up one end and down the other, this is just playful, in my view. It's terrible those who've lost pets this way. They have my utmost feelings and prayers. I myself keep all my pets indoors for that very reason. I think there's entirely too much hate here about this pet, in the comments. Just because you don't think people should be complaining (which is their right to do, if they so wish), doesn't mean you should start talking nasty about them or about PETA, etc. This should be about the picture and art, not about individual users and organizations. People supporting animal rights is a good thing to see and shows good moral values. If this picture hurts them to see, it's horrible to see other users being nasty to them. You might believe they're being overly sensitive, but is that such a bad thing? Better than being cruel and hateful. I think, personally, Subeta users should be supportive of each other. Um, yeah...kinda got off on a tangent there. My bad. XD

Haha. I really like this one, although I hate seeing the unfortunate event of roadkill. I have the understanding that it's art. And besides, this lil guy isn't even dead. He's undead, so chill out about it. =P pats it's head, gets bitten ..Uh oh.

Anyway. This is even less graphic than the Kumos, and as most others have already stated, the Antlephore. I'mma play around with my Subeta pets and see who wants to jump in front of a car. xP

You other people really need to stop complaining about how gross this pixel drawling is. It's just a drawing. What is so wrong about a drawing? There are plenty of other gross drawings out there on the world wide web, why complain about this one? Stop referring this as if it were real. It's NOT. This is a game site. No one is forcing you to look at this stuff. If you don't like it, stop looking at the news page. Graveyard pets are suppose to be dead, hence the word "graveyard". So what if there is tire mark drawing on the pet, take a look at the other graveyard pets. They all look pretty gross.
