I like it but I dont like the chest. Its too big/fluffy imo.

I totally agree with luka_puka, the design of the reborn/spectrum/DM felis are gorgeous and all of them should look like those.

Of all the revamp examples so far i adore the sitting up one that has been posted a couple of times in comments. That has always been my favourite and I wish it had just been revamped to that.

As an owner of two Felis, I should throw my two cents in here, hmm?

I must say that this version is 100 times better than the original that everyone has now. (No twisting spine! ) And it's 10 times better than the 3'rd possible revamp (no fur boobs and, as some people would put it, a sexual pose?!). I think it's up there with the 2'nd possible revamp (the one which people complained it was dragging its butt on the ground)

Now, I would have to say, I really like how soft this newest Feli appears. Its chest fur also doesn't look like breasts and the front paws look like its sitting comfortably. I feel no qualms with its ears and horns, they're perfect.

The only things that bug me on this Feli are... the facial expression. I think it would look better with the 2'nd (butt-dragging) Feli's facial expression, since the eyes seem to be brighter and friendlier. However, I could overlook the facial expression, since it'll only be in the common colors pose, and I suppose a plain face might work best for plain colors to set a neutral base, if that's what you were going for.
The other things that bug me are the positioning of the tail and the wings. They seem a little awkwardly placed. I know I can't edit the Feli right now to show you what I mean, like some of the other users have, but I'll try to explain it the best I can.

Since, on the older ones, the wings appear to be sticking out of the shoulder blades, I think the new one's wings should too. In order to emphasize that, perhaps the base-stem of the wings should extend a little from the shoulder blades and then show the full extent of the small wings. As for the tail, maybe it could be curled upwards, almost making a full you shape. (If it can fit in the small space you have to work in.)

I have a question though, when the Feli is revamped, will the special color poses, like Reborn and Hydrus, be changed or remain the same? (Hopes that they'll stay the same, but look more awesome! ) Although, I'm also sure Bloodred might be changed dramatically since it's a common pose.

I'm sure it must be tough for you artists to create stuff and be critiqued so much. You guys are doing a great job so try not to distress!

Funny, how when someone doesn't like the same things, they are automatically a sheep. Someone who dislikes the pol can turn it around and call you a sheep, Contempt, for liking the Feli and thinking you're such a great art critique, but we're not here do debate on other people's personal tastes in art, last I checked, we where here to give our opinions on if we liked something or didn't. Now, if you'll excuse-me, I have a Four O'clock shaving with Farmer Bob to get rid of some of this Winter Wool.

Hmm, I think Digi makes all the points I would have. I like the way the chest fluff and muzzle look on PiranhaPettingZoo's version as well.

Well there is one thing I can add: where the ear connects to the head next to the horn (on the picture's left side) there's a down and inward curve. It might look better to get rid of that curve since it looks a bit out of place to me. The ears themselves look pretty wide and curvier when comparing them to the previous feli version. Perhaps sleeker ears would look better? Dunno..

Overall, I think you did a good job The anatomy doesn't seem to need much if any work, so you shouldn't have to through the long process of redrawing from scratch yet again. It just needs some tweaks like the chest fluff and muzzle thing. I'm no expert, but I'd say this baby's almost done

Poison, for the last time, this version is NOT an option anymore And will never be. It was 1 or two years ago, but it got voted out, so no. You'll never see that happen.

Ahhhh I after looking since we are trying to come up with CC I do definitely agree with pettingzoo. I do think there is a tad too much fluff and it would benefit from losing a bit. About the snout, I've always thought the feli's was small but I think that's character of the feli so I wouldn't want to change that.

And ooo where did this pic come from I really like this one too!

if people liked their pets before, of course they will complain if they dont like the revamp. the art may be better, but that doesnt mean people have to like it because it may look weird overall. for me, the art of the pets was the most important thing here.

I want to point out one thing.I agree with Con. This is just art,we can always have new things.Why make such a big deal about this?We should also be thanking artists.They work hard to make new pets and things.And this is the thanks they get?If some of you are going to sit here and complain about it,it's just annoying.I'm a 20 year old woman and see me complaining?No.What you guys are doing is just childish. Huzzah, Feli <3 This is much improved. Hopefully, with all the proposed Feli revamps we've been seeing, one of them will go through sooner or later XD I really love the pose on this one. It's very catlike and fluffy, while avoiding the floppy look that was on the last one. It looks like most of the big criticisms are being beat like dead horses already, so I'll avoid those, but I will say that the ear fluff looks a little odd. Like a cotton ball stuck in its ear XD I think the fact that we can't see the other wing is throwing me off a little too, but I can see how it would be hidden behind the head. All in all, great job, and I hope we get to see a prettier Feli gracing the site permanently soon! 8D

I really like Piranha's edit, personally--it fixes most of the things that were bugging me while keeping the nice pose. (Not to add fuel to the fire, but if nobody cared what we thought, then the revamps would never be edited/redone to accommodate users' opinions--and we wouldn't have Subeta polls )

People who critique are trying to HELP. That's the entire point. Not to shoot it down, kind of like what you're doing to your fellow subetians, but to suggest ways to make it better. I do like this new feli. As I've said, it is much better than the current one. I only pointed out some small flaws to hopefully contribute to improving it even further. How is calling a mass of people ";gormless morons"; any more constructive of a comment?

I think it looks a lot better than the last one.. however I still like the old version a little better. the snout is a bit too low in this version for my taste (compared to the old feli), the head looks a bit stretched out too much vertically :/ the fur looks more like a boa it has around its shoulders than actual fur growing out of the chest, and the hips are sticking out too much. sorry about complaining so much xD I like the pose and expression and everything, but I still think the proportions need a little more work. the ears, tail, wings and paws look fine to me though, good job on those :3

Contempt, perhaps you're right. Why should we try to offer constructive criticism at all? Instead of following the negative opinion 'like sheep', as you said, let's just all say ";it's perfect!"; and vote for it in the poll without ever stopping to think how it might be made even better. HOKAY. I honestly don't like it. I mean, yes, it's an improvement, but the face seems to be very flat. The eyes look like they are just BAM. No curvature or something. I can't really place. it. The chest is a little too fluffy, but we like fluffy, so we could deal, but yes, Feli needs a neck

Other than that, it's actually really good. I'm just not a feli fan.

But great job on the improvements.

the muzzle is either too low, or too small, and the back leg's bend is too bony looking, like a cat that needs to pick up some weight. It's out of proportion to the rest. It is supposed to stick up like that, but not appear so thin. There wasn't much wrong with the last revamp except it needed the hips unrolled, and the chest fluff a little less defined (the quality and proportions were definitely there). This one, I don't like the fluff, almost looks like it's wearing a boa. :S I agree with the comparing it to the spectrum, dm, and rb. Those are great personalities, and well drawn/proportioned. They look healthy... this one appears too fluffy, but scrawny at the same time. I don't like this one at all. I am trying to give constructive criticism, and my opinion, as someone who is incredibly familiar with cats of all sizes. Please take it that way, and not someone callously slamming the work.

PiranhaPettingZoo... Or should I say, ZAE my darling I love you I miss you. God. This is an amazing redline... thing. I see the neck look a bit too long on your version, but that can easily be fixed. I also can't really remove that line on the muzzle. All the felis have disconnected muzzles, but I get what you mean.

The feather boa/boob look could easily be fixed by not having a single line separating the left and right halves of the fluff. Break it up into 2-3 smaller lines, and I think that would be a very large improvement. (Such as was done on the DM and Spectrum Felis, albeit more simplistic back then. Just look at how you did the top of the ruff and apply it to your new more detailed style.)

I agree about the muzzle being too long and narrow, although only VERY SLIGHTLY. I think erasing the line on the bridge of the nose would fix it. Also, I think that theres too much neck fluff. It hides a lot of the neck and makes it look kinda pudgy. Also its too... segmented? Like the line in the top middle goes too far down and kind of reminds me of boobs. Fuzzy kitty boobs o_o ...cough Um. I also think the line for the back is angled too far up, making it look even bigger in the chest area.

I'm bad at explaining, so I doodled over it a bit to show what I mean. Although it was really quick and still isnt quite right, I think you get the idea:

BUT UH. I really dont mean to beat this up. It IS lovely and muchmuch better artistically than the old feli. The shading especially is miles ahead. I'll shut up now

At the right angle, it is totally possible for this (albeit very fluffy kitty which obscures detail unlike our smooth-coated Feli) cat to exhibit the same features shown on the current poll.

I personally think the first revamp was better. However the version Kyokou posted seems best. All it needs is an ART update. This new revamp has a lot of anatomical errors (face, head, wings). Since the main issue for the last was the whole fur vs breasts look, why not just change the fur to look like the newer one's boa? Maybe consider a Standing pose?
