AngelEmbryo isn't, by far, the only one who said the keeto didn't really need a revamp so please don't single her out.
I admit the old keeto needed a 4th leg and perhaps a fresh coloring but the old shape was fantastic, specially the big head. I would have preferred it it they just altered the old one a bit instead of completely changeling it. And if it was so disproportionate and had a "horrid shading" (sorry artist these are not my words) why had it become one of the most popular pets?
Moaning about a revamped pet might not change anything but at least it will make us feel better ;3;

Oh . . . my Keeto . . . 0_0

She is now now longer a delicate, slightly smirking Keeto with lovely clear blue eyes. And you can barely see the white details on her back and legs.

I would have loved this revamp if the face was kept.

Now I hate all Kanis except the Angelic one. I think that they are unattractive and look like they have had lobotomies.

I love the way the mouth is moved over in Saga's image. It's way, way better. I preferred my keeto the way he was, but if the mouth was moved over, I would simply adore it. X:

I didn't mean specific people, but Subeta's populace in general. Ever notice how every time ANYTHING is revamped, especially during revamp polls, people throw a fit because the pet is getting revamped and it won't be exactly as it was before? No matter how hard the artists try, no matter what they do, the fact remains that it will change to some extent, and there are always users who refuse to be happy just because something changes in any way. The Keeto could probably be better in a few small ways, as people have pointed out (myself included), but it could be so much worse, too. The old one was an amazing pet when it was released, yes, but it wasn't up to standards any longer, and therefore the revamp WAS needed, even if it's a popular pet.

Sort of an unfairly broad generalization, don't you think? Opposing one change isn't the same as opposing ALL change. And it should be apparent from all the opposition that maybe, just maybe, this change wasn't needed. Not enough to warrant overhauling the whole pet, anyway. It's in roughly the same pose, yes, but that doesn't mean it retains the spirit of the original. It's easy two draw two different members of the same animal species in the same pose.

When more people oppose something than support it, you have to start thinking they might be onto something. That's why I'm increasingly curious to see exactly what the new vs. old numbers are in this case... but alas, it's a special color, so it's not worth a poll or even a reconsideration. Despite the fact that people paid real hard-earned money for it and whatever, you know.

I think you best guess for what's going to be revamped eventually is to spot the art that's been around for long (at least 1 year, I guess). Old art is more subject to revamp. The older it is, the more chances you have for it to be revamped.
I, myself, loved he old angelic keeto and wanted one. I like this one, but even though I'm less motivated to get it, I think Keshi did an amazing job. She worked really hard on it, and I think this Keeto is perfect, especially in terms of constancy(?).
I think the revamp gives the exact same "vide" the old one did, and that's awesooommmeee.

... You know. I might actually get one. I kinda realised how much I liked it while I typed this.

And of course. That Kanis is amazing. I might.... get one too. Guh. Way to ruin me saviiinnggs.

I think the Keeto's face would have been more appealing if the mouth had been moved over just a little...

Though, I can see people complaining about how the old one had the mouth off to the side and the new one didn't in that case, so I guess it's lose/lose no matter what. XD Overall, I think the pet is BEAUTIFUL.

As I said before, I prefer the NEW KEETO.

The old one reminded me a bit of a diva, but this one seems more angelic. I didn't like the wings on the old one, either. They seemed TOO light, almost like they didn't belong on the pet.

Overall, it's a vast improvement

The new kanis is ok. The pose seems a little stiff, but it's a nice improvement from the last one.

However, I'm really miffed over the change to the angelic Keeto. Even MORE miffed then I was when they changed the angelic kerubi. This revamp is NOT what I wanted my keeto to look like. Her personality and spunk is gone. That's basically one dream pet and the price which I paid for an angelic potion down the drain.

Critique: The colors on this keeto are much darker then the original, the head is vastly smaller and at a different angle. The eyes are not as big or bright as they used to be and are lacking the lovely gray ring that used to be around the eyes. The wings look too big and too 'puffy' now. They look like plushie wings instead of the nice feathered soft look of before. Also, the impish personality that the old one had is now lost, and the front legs feel very wide and heavy.

Really, really dissapointed. I hate when I've spent tonnes of my hard-earned money and hours and hours of play to have it all go down the drain. I didn't get an angelic keeto because it was 'just an angelic pet' - I got it because I liked the current art, the personality behind it and how I wanted my pet to feel. These stupid revamps defeat the entire purpose behind that. >

Much needed improvement on the Reborn Kanis, looks lovely.

Like most said, I adored the old Angelic Keetos..o_o Now I'm sort of upset they are gone. -silent sob- They look too...serious and manly now in my eyes.
But ah well.

There does seem to be a lot of dissent around the Keeto, which quite honestly surprises me. The art on the new one I find quite attractive and I love how muted the colors are. The pose is pretty much the exact same as the old, just with the other foot thrown in so it doesn't look three-legged.

I never owned one nor wanted to own one though so I guess I cant' really say how its different from the feel of the old one. I know that the smallest change can ruin the mood of a pet though, but I guess I'm just not seeing it here since I never gave the old one much thought.

I'd honestly be interested in seeing a count of how many people prefer the old Keeto over the new, and vice versa. I don't have the time to go through this post and the forum and count heads, but it's really starting to look like a greater number of people preferred the old one.

I'm not demanding a poll; just surprised to see a reaction like this. I know it won't make any difference since the staff has made up its mind no matter what side the user majority falls on, but it's just making me more and more curious.

I love the Reborn Kanis. But the Keeto... since I joined this site a year ago, I had always wanted an Angelic Keeto. Just recently I adopted my Zodiaca and got the potion for her. The art on the Keeto is beautiful and everything, but I really dislike the new look of it. It really, really didn't need to be changed. There should have been a poll, at least. I really really don't like it. And I'm not just going to "change my pet" anyway :/

Oh shush people. The new Keeto is very pretty and soft looking. The shading and lining and such is, very pretty. And now it's more BLUE! BLUE is a good thing. ^^

I might consider getting/changing my one of my pets into, one! ^^ good job

Uh. the art is ok, but it totally lost it's attitude and... beauty? It's head looks very small, the leg is very... fat. The pose is also very dull, I hate to say.

I do love the lineart though...

The kanis looks alright though the art still looks outdated, especially since the fire isn't lined with black.

The Kanis is a neat change in pose and tone for that pet. Extremely shiny, but I'm loving it - especially those flames.

As for the keeto, I'm sad to see the old one go. This is mostly because of a certain heaviness to the wings: probably the only reason they didn't seem heavy before was due to the colored lineart; perhaps more detailing on the feathers would be better with black lineart? Not that my opinion is really significant enough to change things, but it's a thought. In addition, this new version seems to be a darker gray than the original, which makes the pretty markings less distinctive.

All in all, I see it as more of a change in style of art than truly an improvement; however, I recognize that the style change is in keeping with Subeta's look.
