A new trivia question has been added!

NOTE: Due to the cheating on the Trivia that has been occurring, the sP prize has been significantly cut. Also, very few truly rare items will now be being given. (Not that Arbor's delicious mud pie is not a thing of beauty and a joy forever). The pocket of cheaters know who they are and where they posted, and that it is absolutely not permitted. If anyone would like to report any of them, please feel free. I was going to discontinue the Trivia entirely, however I chose the less drastic route of lesser prizes unless and until this spate of cheating comes to a halt. It will be being monitored.

Wow, I leave on vacation for a week to come back to this??? Oh well, I'll still participate in the trivia's because I love challenging things. Although, most of the time I have no clue what the answer is.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Wow.... well.... we know I'm not a cheater considering I've only gotten maybe 2 tivia correct. XD This last one was a Eureka moment when I came across it.

I am fairly angry now that our prizes will be reduced because of some dorks.

I don't understand why people can't just do their own work and earn their own things. If they miss some, so what, losing is also a NORMAL part of life, just like winning is sometimes. I hope every single one of them get caught. If it doesn't stop it will wind up like another site where answer sites go up like wild fire just to feed the need and greed of those who don't want to think or work anything out for themselves but still "have" to have the prizes.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

I've only gotten like 4 of the trivia right and I think 2 weren't subeta related, they're always to complicated for me =D

Sheesh. How lame. Sometimes I spend hours on subeta DB searching to find answers. I've actaully managed to get, like, the last five or so trivias right sense thats like, all I manage to do here any more unless I have time for wiz quests. And now my work's not even gonna be rewarding. T___T Darn you cheaters.

The thing that cheeses me it, cheating totally takes away your sense of accomplishment. Even if the prize is super cool and I miss out, it doesn't matter. Sometimes I don't have time to find the answer, sometimes, I don't give a rip.

When I do find an answer whether I knew it right away or it took me hours of searching, I always have this huge feeling of "BOOYAH!" because it's a small personal challenge I met. So whether it's a cute worm (Arbor, you rock) Or some super rare clothing item, it will always feel better to solve or fail on your OWN.

Well if the trivs did end the only reason I would not miss it is beacuse I totally suck at it but it would be bad for the few folks who own at it. Folks shouldn't mess up other folks fun.

Charlie elf was wrong!? See I can't miss it when all my answers are wrong like this

I don't believe that people have to cheat on Trivia! You got the answer right, yippie! You get it wrong, oh well. No sense in ruining it for everyone. And for this trivia, I'm very confused.

Found this answer, I believe. I'd like to say I'm very disappointed to learn about cheaters. I spend so much time searching for the trivia answers. I win some, I lose some, but I never resort to cheating. Shame on those of you who have nearly ruined the trivias for all of us..and are responsible for decreasing the prize amount and item rarity. I hope you will be reported and properly punished.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Your answer augustus for the trivia was correct! Youve been given an Pirate Chains Belt and 1225sP puts in wardrobe

It's a shame that people are doing this T_T sigh But thank you very much for continuing the Trivias DebiLee!

Also people wondering about the last trivias answer, look up the item description of "Obnoxious Inflatable Charlie Elf Lawn Ornament" It says Augustus in it.

Thanks for not ending the trivia, though I myself am one of those people who is pretty much hopeless at it. Maybe I'm being dense, but why should giving a hint be considered cheating? So many of the trivias are so obscure a lot of people don't know where to even begin looking for the answer.

I am on yahoo a lot, so I will be glad to keep an eye out and do more obsure searches of their forums to find these people. I barely play and make tons of sP's, having to cheat just shows how truly moronic people are.

I am so glad you chose to keep Trivia going, DebiLee. I still get a kick out of answering obscure questions!

I am so angry at the cheaters though. Because of your selfishness, and inability to accept that you can't win all the time, you've ruined the main opportunity I have for getting rare items (asides from spending RL money on DPs that is). I await the opportunity to dance on your frozen accounts.

Though I'm not very big on the Trivias as I'm not that great at it.. I think it's sad that people feel the need to cheat just to get the answers.. The game for fun, (prizes and SP) not much else really so it seem dumb to cheat yes I get that everyone wants the prizes but it's not that much fun if your cheating but maybe thats just me.. Although I dont really see whats so hard to understand about the RULE (You are not allowed to give out the answers for the trivia. If you are caught, you will be frozen) but again thats just my thoughts.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Ok... I am going to comment which is very rare so please bear with my rambling.... I promise I have point.....

A while back I am not quite sure when there was that trivia.... The really long math problem... And it said something along the lines of there was also a sale of 20% at the store on merchandise and I smailed DebiLee to ask if the 20% off applied to the game and the system or just the game. I recieved a response (very quickly) telling me to smail the person who submitted the trivia and ask them. Which I did... And did not recieve a response... Shortly the trivia was taken down and a new one put up. The a little bit late another trivia came up... The one about who likes avatars and tomatoes... Well I thought it was that user who had it has their interests... And I was lurking the forums and noticed a post about it and on the thread a user had posted I smailed a UA and was told that it was not a user so I was able to find the right answer I thought this was Subeta's way off showing us that we were able to find members with similar interests..... Just by searching for them... I had seen a couple trivias where a staff member was the answer...

I feel that was a hint and it was very unfair that one user was told... But it was not added to the trivia to make it fairer... I am not complaining... Just stating my opinion.... I mean it really bugged me and I feel with the new rules/guidelines being put in place with trivias maybe that could be addressed? Trivias will never be about a specific USER.... But could possibly be about Staff.... And I would like to see any extra clarification that's added be put in trivia for all..... I am NOT trying to start a whole debate on was that cheating.... Hence the reason I added no names.... And will not... I am just suggesting some trivia guidelines...

See I had a point... And if think that was bad you should her me on an answering machine.....

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Trivia's more of a casual thing for me... if the prize is neat, I try and find the answer. Though I have a slight problem with reading too quick, then jumping to conclusions... heh... Well everybody, let's form an angry mob and smite the cheaters!! Or get a sandwich! ... or both!

I don't mind that the prices are less. I only answer a Trivia when I know the answer ... and that is not very common for me. I suck at Trivia. That's the reason I'm glad that it will not be giving such rare items any more.

For me, Trivia is about guessing the answer and just be happy when I answered it correctly. As long as the price is a nice item. I don't give much about the sp that is givven.

I made a mistake yesterday and posted without thinking about what I had typed. I posted in the help forums to get it removed and looked for a staff member which at the time none were around. It is still there. :/ What I posted could be seen as a hint but I wasn't worried about others only myself at the time. I apologize, I get caught up in doing the trivia's and may post something out of not thinking before posting.

Wow, some people are beyond pathetic. The fact that people stoop to cheating on the trivias goes to show how lazy they are. NONE of these trivias are impossible to answer, people just need to put a little bit of time and effort into find the answers instead of taking the easy way out. And if you end up getting the answer wrong you can always just BUY the prize. What a novel idea.

What fun is it in cheating people, seriously? So you can make a few thousand extra sP? If you are that in need of sP, do some work and start restocking. The trivia is supposed to be for fun, not so you can share your answers with everyone else. That totally ruins the fun behind figuring the trivia out for yourself. I don't know about everyone else, but I really enjoy trying to find the answer for myself. If I don't or can't, oh well, there is always next time.

I think Wolfpaw has said it all, and said it very well. These people are this way, not only in games but in real life as well. The way we play games, sports, etc. tend to reflect who and what we really are.

I had a discussion on another site about the blatant thievery of the 7th Harry Potter and the posting on the web by pirate sites, and was told that "if it's out there, you can expect it to be stolen. After all, she's rich, so who cares?" It's the same mentality--and better not leave your cars on the street--after all, they're "out there."

I'm just sorry to see items people dream of getting become unobtainable except for those with a lot of Sp when Trivia was a least a hope that something wonderful would show up as a prize. Game is still fun, though!

As long as we're on the subject, answer formats are nice when needed and if posted as part of the trivia question itself from the beginning, but once the question is posted, no clarification of any sort should ever be given, whether posted here, or even in Smail, no matter how many people whine. It's really not fair to those people answering the trivia before the clarification is given.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Wait, I just REALLY need to know the answer.

It was killing me and I need to know because then I can feel resentment towards it for not having a pirate belt.

Also, cheaters = sad. That's really smelly of them.

The last answer came from the Obnoxious Inflatable Charlie Elf Lawn Ornament-Description: If I had a Charlie like this, I'd name him Augustus. We could bake cookies, and watch soap operas, and find places to hide bodies- I mean spread Christmas spirit!

To clarify, yes exact answers were being given, and, yes, as those who were doing it are aware, it was off-site, so we can't necessarily track who all of them are here. As soon as we find them, their accounts will be permanently frozen.

Thanks for that bit of information, BlueGreenGrey.

@ wolfpaw - I agree that hard questions aren't a valid reason to cheat. If the question is so hard that you can't figure out where to start looking for the answer or you can't find it after looking, then just skip it and move on. The item may be nice, but it's not like it'll be impossible to obtain. Eventually, deflation happens, and one will not -die- if they don't immediately have the item.

The Blue Building password is indeed automatically saved for you, and that requirement marked as Completed. You will get it randomly at the Blue Building while you're checking to see how many more requirements you need to complete. It will say that you should write it down, but you don't actually need to, because it saves it. I can still remember mine though LOL

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Cheaters, auto buyers, scammers, extreme under cutters, the over pricers...as a site grows you're gonna find these losers. And the sad part is that they are not only like that here on a game site, but they are the same in real life too....they have no respect, not even for themselves. Yet, ya ever notice how they are the first to yell loud when and if someone ever does anything to them.

AND if you think a question is too hard, then just don't try to do it. Someone posted that the staff should have expected people to cheat because the questions were to vague and hard...excuse me, but that is no reason to cheat ! Nothing wrong with not doing the trivia, but there is something very wrong with cheating! People that think it's ok to cheat and just take cause things aren't the way they would like them to be should not be tolerated at all in any way!

I'm pretty sure the BB doesn't save the password for you. When I was given mine, it told me to write it down as I would need it later. Just thought I'd let you know, even though it's not technically on topic. ^^;

I believe what DebiLee meant by "blatant cheaters" posting answers was something that was found off-site, somewhere in the big WWW. Like when the Trivias were Non-Subeta Related and people would post in Yahoo Answers and such, looking for or giving the answers. There was no way to track which Subeta user(s) did it, otherwise, I assure you, they'd have been frozen for it. And DebiLee already warned us, until the off-site cheating ceases, our Trivias won't be giving out the awesome, old, desperately-coveted re-released items a lot of us crave. Like erm, me. So stop already! lol

P.S. I agree - perhaps the rules on the Trivia page should be reworded to reflect that giving hints or helping others look for/find the answers, even though they aren't actually giving out the answer, is still cheating.
