I loved the sort of "mean look" that the old Dragarth's had, but I think it's just the head that looks bad to me. Plus, Dragarths are supposed to be dragonic, right..? These new ones look a little TOO fluffy to be those scaly, fire-breathing reptiles.

Granted, the new one does have more definition to it than the old one, I think I like the old Dragarth better. Why? This one just looks too friendly. The body is great, don't get me wrong, but the face is is awful... Just redo the face and I wouldn't mind it, maybe give back the old expression at least. Also you could do away with most of the random fur tufts. Other than the fur and face, I think it wasn't too bad of a change. It could've been a LOT better though, like some of the other changes....

And yes, you should've held a poll for this too. You've done it with a lot of the other pets, why not this one?

For some reason I feel we didn't have a poll for this due to the slight similarities to another pet on another site, that the *chans were talking about .................

It's a good update, but I think the head needs to be re-done completely. I really, really like the body and the wings though. And the shading is nice as well. But from looking at the other colors, some of them are quite dark and it's hard to even see the features of the Dragarth ..

.. . was this a bit rushed? The colors seem to indicate that maybe it was. But who am I to tell. I don't even have a Dragarth and don't want one, so I have no room to say anything.

I don't think there was a poll for this... I would have picked the old style. The new is nicely drawn but it doesn't look much like a dragarth anymore.... as far as it's head. No offense to the artist in general but I do believe my Lilac Dragarth will be my new zapper pet. sigh

they kept the bloodred dragarth the same and it looks the same as the old ones exept for the coloration.

I, too, have a Spectrum Dragarth, although he and my lookup is invisible for the moment. Therefore I am not effected by the change, and I hope they keep the art for the Spectrum Dragarth the same. The spectrum one is so beautiful and still has some of that old Dragarth spunk to it.

agrees w/ Zess The colors have dulled. They look like they've been tossed in to a container of bleach. I love all of the newy stuff, but it totally ruins the personality. Especially the demi. I almost decided on changing Mhi's species to fit her personality.

i just looked at my profile and realized "hey! this dragarth is even more unlike the current drawing style than the old one!!" and that bothers me a bit :/

The Lilac one is AMAZING. It looks even more like Spyro than before! xD

The only thing that bothers me are the wings for some reason. I don't know, maybe they're a bit big?

I like it... the only thing to irritate me about it is the face, which looks a tad too friendly. Otherwise the body and everything is quite nice C:.

I loved the old Dragarth and almost cried when I saw the new version... Luckily, spectrum doesn't seem to have changed.. yet... And I hope it doesn't. huggles Scofield and distracts the artists I personally don't think the dragarths needed an update... but the galactic version was a dead giveaway it was coming...

Seriously, what ever happened to polls? I didn't think the Dragarth was in that much need of a makeover that it didn't deserve some voting. Anyway... It doesn't look like a Dragarth, and it certainly doesn't fit in with Subeta's style. It's too out of place. Yes, the shading is lovely, and the lineart is good, though it could be much better on the face. The shaky lineart there (especially the smile) makes it look like a stroke victim to me. If that, and the weird fur tufts were fixed, I would like it better. But if it stays like this, I'm dumping my plans to change Aw into a Dragarth.

Yes... This is great art and all, and the artist should be proud of it :p But it's not the /Dragarth/, which is what I liked.

Dialga, I completely agree with you. This one has a nice style, better art than before, but... I don't think this new version. It's not so much of the "Dragarth" anymore. They shouldn't have changed it, I say... they should have at least had a revamp where we, citizens of subeta, could vote.

agrees with angelembryo The artwork is perfect, the colouring, the shading...but nearly each revamped pet (since I've registered) lost a bit of their personality by changing their facial expression :/ The Demi, the Feli, Cadogre and now the Dragarth. They were unique, and then they got either a boring, vapid f. expression...big eyes, a cute smile, fluffy fur... that seems to be a new fashion (of the Cadogre: I loved that evil eyes, and now it looks...dead, bored and common) It's a pitty that they lose what they are known for...

I liked the old one better. Artistically, the new one still looks good, but it seems to have lost the "attitude" that defined the old Dragarth.

It must not be that vast of an improvement over the former one if so many people have so many problems with it.

And obviously plenty of people thought the smirk looked fine, and that it even made the Dragarth what it was. At least it gave the pet uniqueness and personality, unlike these vapid expressions that seems to be taking over so many Subeta pets of late.

I like the revamp. It didn't change by a lot. The body of the old one was kind of clunky and didn't have very good shading, so this is a great update. The only thing I don't like is that the snout for some reason looks curved when it's not. It's probably because of the angle of the eyes and that the nostrils are relatively small.

It's okay, BUT: where's the fierce grin that made the old Dragarth so charming? I do believe there were other pets in need of a redraw, the Dragarth was just fine... and we didn't even get a poll!

Hrrrm, this is very nice, I love the shading. But it's not a Dragarth, this is a different pet. It's not angular anymore, it's more like a fat stuffed animal. Very... Puffy.

The face seems very off. I think it's the smile(?) The expressions is very odd and doesn't seem believable. The whole anatomy of the face has changed in general.

The Dragarth did indeed need a revamp, but not to be a different pet. Really, from an artistic veiw this is beautiful, kudos to the artist. It just isn't the same pet to me o:

Wow, some of the users get pretty rude if some of us don't like it. Just because we dont fawn over it like some of you do, doesn't mean we're allowed to have an opinion. Good lord :/ Holyhour, the wikibeta even SAID that the smirk is what defined the Magnus. So yes, people are going to be upset that it's gone. Isn't it something to be concerned about if a mass of people all agree on it. Something pointless would be like 'I think the left toe is slightly too angled' or something. People are upset because the whole ATTITUDE of the pet is changed now. Dragarths were cunning, mischievious, and now cute and devious? I mean come on, I've seen Qhimera's other works, and it all looks pretty much devious (dillema and magnus right?) so why couldn't the dragarth? I shouldn't even bother consider my comment is just 'negative whining' and not criticism that will be used since it's final anyway. shrugs I still think there could have been room for more tact.

I think the only thing I don't like about the new Dragarth is the mouth. The smile looks odd/weird. I loved the old Dragarth soo much. In my opinion, it didn't need to be changed.

I do love the wings on this new version.

The smirk didn't look right on the face, so it was changed. Pet revamps are not polled if Keith determines that they need not be, which was the case in this instance, as it is a vast improvement over the former one, and, had it been polled, this is the version that would have won and been added, so there really would have been no point to a poll.

Hm, I wish this was released when I was looking for a dragon pet to make a 'Draco', and I ended up settling with a different one. The thing that looks a bit off about this one, is the left (our right) horn. That plus the tuff of 'hair(?)' makes the head look a bit long. The snout and body looks really well done.

Buuut, in the end, I don't own this type of pet. That should be left up to the people who own one. So I'll just hand over my two cents about it, and let that be that. It's only an opinion after all.

well... after reading all the comments i start to dislike the revamp for all the "cute" screams it's getting... in my opinion Dragarths are not supposed to get that reation at first glance. XD looks like it's the missing smirk? at least... "cute" wasn't the reason why i once had one and wanted a DM one.

well, i still like the art, even more with looking longer at it.

I'm not all that fond of it, but I'm being bias- the old version was one of my favorite pets on the site. :'D I just never had room for one.

No insult to the artist, just my view. The body is very good, just the face that really bugs me.

I like the body, even though it could use something unique, like markings or something, but the face is weird and it's the first thing I noticed and disliked about the revamp. It just looks kind of awkward with the snout and eyes, IMO.

I'm not complaining about the artists. Also, I know that sometimes the 'new and shiney' one gets the votes. It stinks. However, I have noticed that, with polls, the final release doesn't always look exactly like the original suggestion in the poll.

When I first saw it, it made me want to cry. Then I put one index finger over the top of the eyes, and one over the corner of the mouth.. xD and realized, it's just the face I don't like.

The body looks good, but I really dislike the expression. To me it looks too wide-eyed, and like it's trying to keep it's mouth shut to not giggle. And, it doesn't look happy to me. The cute smirk is gone. The rest of it is very nice. Love the new wings.

Very nice! I just think the lines should be SLIGHTLY thicker.. to match the other pets.. but I love it. The horn looks like it's kinda just floating though - And shouldn't the Arid have pink eyes? ): I always love the pink in Arid, but... I love this makeover.

The eyes on the Lilac Dragarth are AMAZING. o__o And Twilight and Dusk look beautiful. The rest are kinda "eh" but they're still an improvement. XD I eagerly await the Chibi, Reborn, and Angelic revamps. ^^

I like this a little better than the old one, although I agree with the others that the far horn looks like it's detatched. And the smile is a little...sickly. But other than that, it's great! I especially love the wings and the paws. Kudos to the artists!
