Thank you for this release, Subeta. In my eyes, you have not only paid homage to excellent fictional creepy clowns, but you've unintentionally stood by the professional clowns who have been the most negatively impacted by the creepy clown debacle. While I get what retailers are trying to do by pulling clown items off shelves for the duration of this mass hysteria, I feel for all the people whose professions revolve around clowning and its items. Some of them are now facing unpaid rent and hungry bellies just because it's easier for the public to discriminate based on looks than it is for the public to look at this and realize that any crimes committed are because of criminal-minded people, not the garb they're wearing. Subeta, when you chose to release this regardless of recent events, you have shown me that you have not bought into fearful narratives. After all, is the timing ever right for us to demonize and marginalize an entire group of peaceful professionals, just because a few menacing malingerers have worn a similar uniform when choosing to commit crimes?

Going to be 100% honest here. Irl, if you do a scary clown face right, it can creep me out. But I spent 5 minutes staring at these items and they don't scare me at all. Heck, people tell me that I'm too sensitive and easily scared like... this reminds me of how ppl were saying a certain bug pet creeps them out, but that pet doesn't creep me out either. Am I missing something what?...

I don't like clowns and have no interest in these but I have to admit the artwork is very nice. I would rather have seen super hero type costume items however.

I don't know what's scarier, the clowns or the over 200 comments about them.... I'm going to say the clowns. They are very creepy, especially that bulbous body suit. Nice job with the art!

Clowns have always been associated with halloween. These are amazing, and even though I HATE clowns, the art is so good I may need to get some of them.

Creepy clowns have been around for a very long time. I don't understand why people think this has anything to do with the creepy clowns that are stalking some towns in America.

Subeta can, and on MANY occasions has delayed the release of items that have been drawn for various reasons. The "we had the items already" excuse is rather weak.

I'm not loving the global clown craze, but I like that these don't address that. In fact, I'm super happy, not only Dr. Rockso and Pennywise, but the young Michael Myers clown costume is absolute genius. I never would have associated clown costume with the one Michael wears when he kills his older sister as a kid.

Obviously Subeta didn't mean this in bad taste. Clowns are a well established horror trope, and Morostide is for horror. Yeah maybe it's bad timing, but...

Also shoo shoo, drama llamas. Clowns are, and have always been a great and classic Halloween costume. Well, at least when people started realizing how creepy they actually are. I mean; Older fellas with a masks or some colorful paint on their faces that hides their identities? Those same older fellas using clothes that hide their body shapes and talk voices that aren't really their own? And don't even let me get started with the grin that's always plastered on their faces...

That was a good read. I feel like everyone has made their point and explained their feelings. Whether you find these item's (timing) release distasteful or not, it would be up to you. I applaud the people that had a civil conversation about it and not just poking fun or replying with gifs...

I feel as if there is nothing else to be said and the comments should be blocked to prevent any further escalation.

I love these and i'm glad they were released. Evil clowns/jesters are one of my favorite Halloween costumes...i'm disappointed i won't be able to use such a costume this year because i don't want to get beaten up. XP

Clowns are scary, and that is what makes them great for Halloween. Yes, someone dressed up as a clown to scare someone, then I kept hearing stories on Facebook about people hearing about clowns in their areas or that they were going to be. The thing is, almost ALL of those ended up being FAKE stories. If people were attacked by clowns, why wasn't anyone ever hurt? People can dress up as a vampire or a zombie or Michael Myers and chase after someone or scare them, so should those costumes be banned too? It's ridiculous. If you don't want to put the costume on your avatar, then don't. If it bothers you that much, you will probably need to stay home for Halloween because it's almost GUARANTEED that people will be dressing up as clowns.

Say what you will, these items are not in poor taste. It is halloween time and clowns have been associated with halloween for ages. There was not some mass clown massacre or something that staff needed to be sensative about. Just some idiots being idiots on the street. Staff, you shouldn't be getting flack about this, carry on. If people want to be upset, they should be upset for real clowns that are losing jobs over this, not pixels.
