Centropolis billionaire and playboy philanthropist Dominic Saggitarius has generously persuaded Channel 5 News to conduct a press release on his behalf. The handsome and powerful mogul is known mainly for his presidency at the Millionaire Center and his Councilorship of Centropolis, but who can forget his great history with dragon hunting? It's known he's on the lookout for recruits to join his new expedition in the Omen Islands, and we're delighted to hear from him today.

Hey, it’s me, your best friend Blake! I know that you’ve been eagerly awaiting whatever exciting adventure that I’ve got in store for you this time, and you can’t wait to get an all new, promotional Steele Excavations shovel! Hah, just kidding, I promise that there will be no digging this time.

I'm late to this, but, uh, I do hope that the indigenous population is... ok with whatever it is that we're soon to be doing? They're going to notice a bunch of people hanging out on the beach and if we start 'manifest destiny-ing' all over the place. I mean these decisions are normally made just based on which character you like more. This is the first time (that I can remember?) where there are actual differences between how the two teams operate, but we barely know anything so how can we really choose? It's like flipping a coin, and I'm worried I'm going to end up hating my team because I can't tell what I'm getting myself into. :(

I really wish we knew what "adventuring for longer" entailed, and what "energy" is being used for. There's some kind of game here, but without knowing the rules it's really hard to make a good decision.

If this is going to be like the fishing game, but one team gets fewer tries per hour, it's going to be really tedious to get anywhere if you're on Team Gold.

On the other hand, if we're moving across some kind of game board and Saggi's team makes more progress per turn, being on Team Steele will make it more tedious.

I went with Blake because it seems like it's structured so that you get more money if you're with Saggi, but you probably have to buy your supplies more often and I imagine they'll be expensive. (Especially since it's a plot, and those sorts of needed-to-progress items go for a FORTUNE.) I feel like supplies lasting longer and being able to adventure longer will probably pay off more in the end than the supposed higher income from Saggi (but it will depend on the pay discrepancy, honestly). Plus, I like Blake more from this little snippet of their personalities.

Team Gold here! Hope we don't lose out simply to popularity. Saggi has been super generous to me in the past despite his arrogance. Plus, I love his sense of style.

It would be easier for me, personally, to make a decision if I knew for sure how much our battle pets' stats had to do with all of this. Being a one-hit wonder for both teams isn't really telling me much of anything, and right now in my head, this feels like it's just going to be a lower vs. higher tiered battle competition.

Guess I just don't see why there isn't a way to give us more information to make a somewhat informed decision without spoiling everything, when we can all hear the pissing match over prizes at the end from here.

Can't decide! While I prefer Saggi over Steele, I would punch myself in the guts if the team I chose loses again because of simple NPC popularity difference, and Steele looks more popular... although he saying "Oh sure, I bet you’re one of those fussy people that want want to be paid “on time” and “in full”." certainly does not help me liking the guy. At least Saggi is consistently arrogant.

I'm still torn about deciding which team.... I know I'm saving up money for pet slots and whatnot so maybe Saggi.... 😕 Does anyone remember digging for Blake before? I hadn't joined Subeta during that event and maybe that will help me decide....

I'm concerned about Blake's sudden personality transplant, so I'm going with Saggi. Seriously, I know his Wiki says he's awkward, and he's drawn that way now, but he never acted like this from what I can remember!

Also I agree with , Saggi has given me toooons of sP over the years, and Blake has just smirked at me while I've thrown myself at his crypts over and over again and never gotten any prizes :P

For Gold side...what does "more sp" mean? Is it just slightly more than a relatively minute amount to begin with? Or, are the event earnings significant? Because right now I'm leaning towards Steele. Adventure! :)

Also, FYI you can fight both dummies, and here are the options.

Team Steele can adventure for longer/energy and supplies run out slower Team Gold pays out sP more frequently / and in higher amounts.

I dont know???? I hate these types of events only because you have to choose a side and i'm so indecisive. Like, I'm not attached to either one really so it's hard to pick. I think I'm going to go with Blake because he just seems friendlier and doesn't seem like he's going to look down his nose at me. (I kinda get that feeling with Saggi).

Ahhh, decisions!!! Will both guys announce or post more stuff about each of the campaigns? It doesn't say precisely how many days there are for signups, and I wouldn't want to miss them mostly because of silly uncertainty :p I mean!!! Decisions!!!!!

Well I know WHY he has his rash. His last Crevice Inspector (and Cleaner) clearly didn't do their job properly. We shall have to remedy this by requesting the formation of a team of Crevice Inspectors (and Cleaners).

I also joined Team Steele. My greed was defeated by my dislike of arrogance and dragonslayers ;k If there is digging (even though he says there won't be) I have tidy selection of explosives, so I'm sure I can manage.
