Site Updates



Happy New Years, everyone!

As you know, we experienced quite a bit of downtime the past day. We’ll have a programmer explain the finer aspects of it sometime today, but here are a few updates/things:

    [li]Anyone with a GA currently has had their time increased by 3 days! Anyone with a subscription now has had 100 CSC added to their account.
    [li]December Monthly Collections will stay in the Cash Shop until the 3rd!
    [li]The Unstable Snow Fairy will be around until January 5th at 11:59pm.
    [li]Trees are still safe, we’ll be opening those sometime this week so you can get your gifts. There will be more on that when makes a news post about it. :)
    [li]We know quite a few people have missed out on the chance to visit Melody for the 30th and 31st because of the downtime. We’ll have a news post sometime today explaining our plan for that!
    [li]Our actual New Years celebration will start later in the day when we know the site is more stable!

If I got yesterday's items but not the achievement or prize, should I just file a ticket instead of seeing what the plans for Melody are?

Saggitarius: 16 / 15 What? I only refreshed several times because I was getting the error page. I'm also not sure if the amount of my CSC is correct. I thought I only had 7 left, now I have 250 more o.O Is it possible that these connection errors cause doubles every now and then? I don't want to abuse anything by accident worried

I just want to know what your plan for Melody is, even if you don't do it right away!! I want the prizes from it, and any achievements that come with it!! Are you going to open visits for a while or are you just going to give us the items automatically?

Not today then I take it. I say this because still every other page it seems is a 504 error Its really bad for me when buying items for quests. Ive been on here for about 5 hours now trying to finish them :-/

So, I'm going on vacation for a week on Sunday... Does anyone know how that works with trees and opening them? Will I be able to open my tree when I get back? It's my first Lumi so I'm still new to this lol.

I was lucky enough to get my Melody items late on the 30th, but there was no open window yesterday, I'm happy to hear that that's going to be dealt with somehow, thank you so much Subeta Team for working on this over the holidays!

to the people having issues with quests- if an item isn't buying after a few seconds and the tab just gets stuck on loading- hold down CTRL and click buy, then you'll be able to get your item :) if this doesn't work, just go down the list and keep CTRL + buy, until one of the tabs works c:

I checked to see if Subeta was up at around 10:30 last night and when I saw that it was, Melody was the only place I got to before it went back down again. So basically those of us who have the item got it due to sheer dumb luck.

The pen set from the Melody achievement? The site was up last night for a few minutes so that's probably how they have it. I know I got it last night.

Normal way, by finishing the achievement. I managed to get here to collect last gifts shortly before site was taken down and got it with minimal problems. Others surely did too.

On topic: good to see site up but I'm getting slow loading and occasional bad gateways still. Not as bad as it was, but I'm gonna wait at least another day before trying to quest or anything :/

If we don’t get trees open by the 3rd, I’ll consider it. :) + anyone else who had extras from melody: yes delete the extras <3 We haven’t technically ended Luminaire yet specifically to keep the Cursed Holiday items going out :) We’ll have a news post when we end the holiday. That means the fairies are still going out via Random Events and everything. Yes, I’ll be doing a few more restocks later <3

sweet baby jesus. the vitriol in the comments section just beggars belief. apparently on subeta, people are not free to have or express their own opinions. the sentiments being shared here are not damaging, discriminatory or illegal. they're utterly harmless. and yet people are consistently reacting to these harmless opinions with this absurd "UR WRONG, FITE ME" mentality.

I'm still getting occasional error messages and lots of lagging. Yes it's nearly impossible to do quests, every time I try to purchase a quest item it just sits there saying "connecting" or I get an error page. Grrr. Hope they get it fixed soon and we don't lose anything, presents, etc, and they figure out how to give us the Melody achievement since I went every day through the 30th.

, bear in mind that many folks here pay money to play the game - if you paid for any other service over the holidays, you would expect good service in return. Many companies close for the holidays rather than continue to provide their service. Subeta elected to stay open (and collect folks' money), thereby making an implicit pledge to maintain a consistent level of service. While some folks are being less-than-mature in their complaints, it's not unreasonable to expect fast and quality work in return for money paid.

Not to say that yes, there could have been more updates, but yes there was also a holiday that's very big and very important to a lot of people so maybe Subeta as a community should be more understanding and go hey, maybe they were with their family and had better things to do than give daily updates. I'd have appreciated being informed as well, but there's a better way to handle it than the way a lot of people are.

The outlandish way some of you are acting is just beyond ridiculous, you really need to reprioritize your life if Subeta has absolutely ruined your life because of something beyond their control. Focus your energy into literally anything else, any other hobby. This is coming from someone who is on Subeta frequently/very often, so it's not as though I don't understand the stress relief or the 'escape' it can offer. But you people need to get a goddamn grip, you're behaving absolutely asinine. I think most of you have genuinely forgotten what Christmas is supposed to be about; GIVING to others, not receiving, being around loved ones, etc. Not, you know, what you're going to get for free and how quickly are YOU personally going to receive compensation for something beyond Subeta's control.

Let's keep in mind that several of the staff sacrificed THEIR holiday time to try and get things together for everyone, stop whining about the trees and learn to be patient. I understand the anticipation and wanting your gifts, but it's literally just a site and there are far, far more important things in life.

Be great if Subeta learned something from this fiasco. All we want is to be kept informed every step of the way, otherwise we get disgruntled. There weren't enough updates by half, leaving people to have to vent on Subeta's facebook page. Lets hope we don't have a ruined Lumi next year. And here's to finally (maybe) getting to open our trees very soon.

That item comes from the achievement you get for having visited melody all 31 days of december, If you didn't miss a day before all the site problems happened then you would get this when they release the fix later on today.

If you weren't able to get on for christmas because of family things then staff aren't going to credit you that, I missed a day on christmas eve from being with family, If it's because of a site issue they will credit you for it but they aren't going to just hand it to you, That's not how it has ever worked.

Do you have an actual csc subscription where money comes off a debit or credit card each month and you get csc placed into your account? If not then that is why you didn't get 100 csc because that is what they are referring to when they talk about a subscription.

This is the least of the problems or concerns right now, but in case anyone knows an answer, IK a few people were wondering if there was somehow a way to still have the retired Holiday items in Cursed Quests for a couple of days since the downtime didn't give the chance to receive them?
