I think the difference here is, since asexuality has such little representation (even on the internet) it's just nice to see even a little bit of that here. And the thing is, people DO bond over being asexual (well, any sexuality really), because like I say, such little representation exists for us that when you DO find someone the same as you, it's nice to bond over that.

Ah, okay. I guess because strangers in the real world have no intentions of being anything more than strangers to other people but online most of the time people are looking for others that understand them and connect with them so sharing that gives you a chance to meet others like yourself? This certainly brought asexual players together, didn't it? It's nice to see someone who represents you in a game and it's even nicer to meet other people like you through that.

But the item release was labeled as stuff for best friends? Only one item mentioned they were asexual and that was giving backstory on how they became friends over something they both had in common? Sorry, I'm just sort of confused on how this is suddenly shoving their genders/sexualities in your face or how it at all compares to strangers you meet on the street when these are site-wide known NPCs? I'm just really not understanding your point of view, I guess. Oh well, we can't all agree. :D

I'm glad to see asexuality represented in a respectful, realistic way. I'll admit, when I found out Nico was possibly asexual, I was worried about how that representation would play out (I have some unpopular opinions about certain aspects of gender identity and orientation, including some of the newer terminology), and I'm so happy to see this! Thank you, Subeta, this means a lot to me.
